Who we are
Continental Club, 4A South King Street, Deansgate, Manchester M2 6DQ (“we”, “us”). We decide how the details you give us on this website are used. For anything about your details, email [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp.
What we collect, and why
- Table requests. Your name, mobile number, email address, the night, how many guests, the occasion and anything you add. We use them to arrange your table and to contact you about it. We do this because you asked us to (steps before an agreement with you).
- Photo ID for every guest on a table. We ask for this to make sure everyone at the table is over 18 and matches the booking, for everyone’s safety and to meet the terms of our licence. We rely on our legitimate interests and our legal duties as a licensed venue. The lead booker confirms that every guest has agreed to share their ID.
- Guestlist requests. These go through WhatsApp, which is run by Meta under its own terms.
- Visiting the website. We don’t use tracking cookies, advertising tags or analytics. The page fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address.
Who can see it
Only the club’s management team. We don’t sell your details or share them with other businesses. We only give them to others where the law requires it, for example if the police ask about an incident.
We use these providers to run the website and bookings: Supabase (our booking database and private file storage), Cloudflare (website hosting) and our email provider (booking emails).
How long we keep it
- ID photos and files are deleted automatically 7 days after your night. If a request is declined or cancelled, they are deleted within a day.
- Booking details (name, contact details, the night and party size) are deleted 12 months after the night.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email or WhatsApp us and we’ll reply within a month.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
